The Leopards and the Tonton Macoutes, how many thousands of Haitians did they murder?
 

A video ( in 2 parts) reporting on the Tonton Macoutes and the Haitian military which was
initially broadcast in the US around 1988 - 1989. It gives a good account
and history of U.S. involvement in Haiti's repressive apparatus at the
service of business interests. Please note that the Haitian human rights
advocate ( Jean Jacques Honorat) describing the repression later became the first 1991 coup prime
minister and supporter of the ensuing deadly repression.
A very well known figure during the Duvalier era: Bush Ashton is explaining how the VSN were trained by the US.
Also hear the man who trained and equipped the Leopards.

There are some scenes of brutality. The people of Haiti are continuing
their struggle against the return of this brutal system.
